Mission: To deepen our connection with God and each other through programs.
Goal: To create programs that equip the saints for ministry, meet people where they are, and strengthen the core of our church.
Our second season of Open Doors, programs for spiritual and social connection, begin with a kickoff luncheon on Sunday, September 27, 12:30 pm in the Celebration Hall. This free lunch will provide an opportunity to hear about each of our new programs, and to participate in your favorites!
Here’s the line-up:
Bread-Making (George Lellis and Stephan Kroker-Bode, facilitators) This weekly group will meet to share ingredients, try out new bread recipes, and take a baked bread home after every session! Movie Nights (Laura Jones, facilitator) This weekly group will select movies they want to watch, then gather for the showing and conversation following. Every other Monday beginning 10/11/15, 7-10 pm. Laura can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org; 540-797-6161
Hiking/Walking (Charlotte Runyon, facilitator) This occasional group will plan hikes and walks into the world, to get acquainted with nature, and observe all it has to teach us about life. You can reach Charlotte at email@example.com; 540-819-2835

F.E.A.S.T. (Faithful Friends Eating and Sharing Together, with Erika Joyner as facilitator) will meet occasionally to share potluck meals and converse about the gifts and benefits of eating together! You can reach Erika at email@example.com; 540-817-8727
Social Time (Linny Caldwell, facilitator) This group will meet occasionally and plan social outings (walks in the market, live music, farmer’s market, etc.)
Faith and Froth: Adventures in Pub Theology (Reverend Joe Cobb, facilitator) This group will meet twice a month at different ale houses or pubs in the area to discuss topics of faith and life. Our next meeting will be Wednesday, October 21, 6:30-8:00 pm at Wasena Tap Room.
1st Sunday Brunch Bunch – This group meets for brunch on the 1st Sunday of each month at a place chosen by the group. This is a great way to get to know each other better, growing friendships in faith! The next Brunch Bunch will be Sunday, November 1, 12:30 pm
