Welcome to MCC of the Blue Ridge!

We are a Christian community making God’s love real to all people. If you are new to Metropolitan Community Churches, here are some frequently asked questions that may be of help in your experience with us.

Where is the church?

MCC of the Blue Ridge is located at 806 Jamison Avenue Roanoke, Virginia. A map of our location can be obtained by clicking here.

Do I have to be gay to attend?

No. Although our church does have a primary ministry to the gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender community, all people are welcome. We are a diverse faith community, and attendance or membership at MCC of the Blue Ridge is not indicative of one’s sexual orientation. We are a Christian church open to all people.

What do I need to wear?

We’re a pretty casual group. Dress comfortably. While some people dress up, most wear casual and comfortable clothing on Sunday mornings. Please, don’t worry about what you wear, just come and experience the message and fellowship our church has to offer.

What time are the services?

We worship on Sundays at 11a.m. The Sunday worship service is our most attended service. Our choir and band rehearse at 9:45 am in the sanctuary.

Where do I park?

The church has a parking lot behind the building which you can enter from 8th Street. There is plenty of additional on street parking on the side streets surrounding the church. We also have handicapped spaces available in the front of the sanctuary door (look for the orange cones) for those who need them including a drop off zone. You may ask the service usher(inside the door and up the steps) if you need additional assistance.
